The management and control of all cemeteries within the Township are governed by the Cemetery Committee pursuant to applicable legislation. The Committee consists of seven (7) persons appointed by Council. At least one member of the Committee is also a member of Council. The members of the Township of Seguin Cemetery Committee are responsible for making recommendations to Council regarding the operation and maintenance of all cemeteries owned by the Township of Seguin. The members of the Committee shall ensure that the operation of all cemeteries owned by the Township of Seguin conforms to all Provincial legislation as well as all pertinent municipal by-laws. All expenses incurred associated with the operation of the cemeteries must be approved by resolution of Council. If the Committee wishes to review major expenditures prior to presentation to Council a request must be made to the Treasurer. The Treasurer will provide monthly reports to the Committee regarding expenditures. Assistance for the operation and maintenance of the Cemeteries, including clerical support, stakings for burials, monument placements, corner markers, openings and closings for Cremation Burials, will be provided by the Township of Seguin Staff.

Memorial Donation Cards
Donations ( in lieu of flowers ) are gratefully accepted by the Township of Seguin to assist with the care and maintenance of Township of Seguin cemeteries. An Official Receipt for Income Tax purposes will be provided upon request. Donation cards are available on this website (click here) as well as at Logan's Funeral Home and Torrance Funeral Home, both located in Parry Sound.
