Township of Seguin Community Centres

The Township of Seguin has a number of community centres and other public facilities that can be rented for a fee for private functions such as weddings, stag & does, new years parties, hockey and ball tournaments, wedding/baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries, business meetings, fundraising luncheons and dinners--whatever the occasion.

Local community groups can make use of any of our community centres for their weekly/monthly meetings by paying a yearly fee of $100.00 plus GST.  These groups may include, but are not limited to, seniors, quilters, calorie counters, ladies/church auxiliaries, etc.

The use of any of the Township's Community Centres or facilities by groups that are supported by the Township, such as the Royal Canadian Legion, Children's Volunteer Groups, Scouts, Guides, Playgroups and registered Ratepayer Groups, are free of charge.  The use of a hall for a Funeral Tea is also free of charge.

All events/functions having dancing/liquor licence/music will be classified as a rental with kitchen at all facilities and the fee will be applied accordingly.

A SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) Tariff is imposed on any type of music played at any of the Township's facilities.  It is the responsibility of the owner of the facility, in this case the Township, to collect these fees. Users of any of the Seguin Township facilities will be assessed the appropriate tariff under the Copyright Act when booking facilities and will be charged accordingly.

All organizations/groups using the facilities are required to clean all equipment (e.g. stove, tables, chairs, kitchen utensils, etc.) and to return them to their appropriate storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion.  All garbage and recyclables are to be placed in the proper containers, removed from the facility by the end of the function and dropped off at one of the six waste drop-off sites located throughout the Township.  A surcharge of $25.00 per hour will be applied to the rental fees if the building is not left in the condition it was found.

Foley Activity Centre located at 76 Rankin Lake Road in former Foley Township.  Room capacity - 60 people.  Facilities include hall, kitchen, small bar, tables/chairs, cutlery, dishware and glassware. Rental Agreement Form

The Township of Seguin has also entered into a Public-Private-Partnership Agreement with the Foley Agricultural Society which provides that Seguin Township ratepayers may rent the Agricultural Society's facilities at the same rates as Township owned facilities.  The booking of the Society's facilities is done through the Agricultural Society.  For further information please visit the Agricultural Society's web site: http://www.foleyagriculturalsociety.ca/

Humphrey Community Centre and Arena located at 15 Humphrey Drive in the community of Humphrey.  Upstairs - room capacity of 157 people.  Facilities include hall, kitchen, bar, tables/chairs, cutlery, dishware and glassware.  Ice Pad - room capacity of 500 people. Facilities include tables and chairs.  Rentable only when there is no ice in the facility.  Rental Agreement Form

Orrville Community Centre located at 1207 Highway #518 in the community of Orrville. Swords Room - room capacity of 59 people.  Facilities include small refrigerator, sink, tables and chairs.  Seguin Room - room capacity of 224 people.  Facilities include hall, stage, kitchen, bar, tables/chairs, cutlery, dishware and glassware.  Rental Agreement Form

Rosseau Memorial Hall located at 2 Victoria St. West in the community of Rosseau. Upstairs - room capacity of 150 people. Facilities include hall, stage and tables/chairs. Kitchen located downstairs- cutlery, dishware and glassware. Downstairs - room capacity 100. Facilities include hall, bar, tables and chairs.  Rental Agreement Form

Rosseau Field House and/or Fair Grounds located at 7 Ash Street in the community of Rosseau. Field House room capacity - 120 people. Facilities include hall, small kitchen and bar.  Rental Agreement Form

Rosseau Waterfront Gazebo is located at the newly restored Rosseau Waterfront. Exclusive use of the Gazebo is for a maximum of 3 hours during daylight hours only, and tables/chairs must be provided by user or rented separately. The rest of the waterfront will still be available for use by the general public during the exclusive use period.  Rental Agreement Form
